Toasty oak, fermented soya and earthy spices with taut black fruits on the nose. Powerful palate, pencil shavings and there are overtones of tobacco and tar. Full-bodied structure with a firm tannins. Finish is lean with seasoned cedar. Need at least an hour in the decanting for the aromatics to open up.
