Bushmills Sherry Cask Reserve is the first edition in it's travel retail exclusive Steamship Collection, launched to mark the 125th anniversary of the SS Bushmills Steamship's maiden voyage. Bushmills relationship with the craftsmen of the Paez family bodega in Jerez stretches back generations. Only top grade, air dried Spanish oak sherry butts, which have been seasoned with dark Oloroso sherry for 9 months, are selected. The empty casks are then delivered back to the Old Bushmills Distillery and filled with triple-distilled Bushmills Single Malt Irish whiskey. The result is a limited release of fine single malt Irish whiskey matured in oloroso sherry butts to give a unique flavour of rich fruit, spiced honey and dark chocolate, with a long sweet and smooth finish.
